Medication reminders during Ramadan
ChronoPill is a pill reminder for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Its Fasting Mode (Premium) shows the day's fasting window during Ramadan, from dawn to sunset where you are, so you can see your reminders against it. It never moves a reminder by itself: you choose your times, after talking with your doctor or pharmacist.
What Fasting Mode shows
- The fasting window of the day: the end of suhoor at dawn (Fajr) and iftar at sunset (Maghrib).
- Times calculated for your location, with the calculation method you choose. Without a network connection, ChronoPill calculates them on your device.
- Your reminders, at the times you set. To take a medication outside the fasting window, you edit its reminder times yourself on the medication's page.
Fasting Mode also covers Yom Kippur, Navratri, Ekadashi, Good Friday, Lent (Catholic and Protestant), Great Lent (Orthodox) and a custom window that you set.
What it does not do
Fasting Mode does not tell you whether you can fast, does not assess your medications or your health, and never changes a dose or a reminder. ChronoPill is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. Before changing the time, dose or frequency of a medication, or before fasting while you take one, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

On your Apple Watch
Reminders also arrive on your Apple Watch, where you can mark a dose taken.
Plans and devices
Fasting Mode and the auto-prompt are part of Premium, on iPhone and iPad. Reminders, the Apple Watch app and up to 3 active medications are free.
Privacy
To calculate the times, ChronoPill sends the AlAdhan prayer-times service, an independent third party, your approximate location (rounded to about 1 km), the date and the calculation method. Your medications are not part of this request. Your medication list stays on your device. See the Privacy Policy.
